chibinails FAQ!!!
Q: Where are you girls from?
A: We’re both from Malaysia
Q: What tools do you use for your designs?
A: We use a fine tipped brush to draw the details on our brushes. As for the dots, we use a nail dotter, or alternatively you could use a toothpick. For the stripe designs, we either use a nail striping brush or just our regular fine tipped brush.
Q: Where do you buy your nail art tools from?
A: For the brushes, we buy them either from nail art stores or any art craft stores. We usually buy our brushes from a nail art store located in Asian Avenue at Sunway Pyramid, or from the small nail art stalls that you can find at1 Utama or The Curve. We buy our rhinestones, nail dotter, nail buffer and rhinestone wheels from there too. We also buy our brushes from Craft Haven, as they have a wide variety of brushes. We usually buy most of our rhinestones from Sasa cause it’s more bling :D
Q: What brands of nail polishes do you girls use?
A: We mostly use Korean nail polish brands such as Etude House, Faceshop and Skinfood. A lot of our nail polish collection comes from there! Sometimes we use nail polishes from Sasa, OPI, China Glaze and ORLY.
Q: Do you use fake nails?
A: Nope, we don’t use any form of fake nails. We only use fake nails for video tutorial purposes.
Q: How do you keep your nails so long and not chipped?
A: Try not to use your nails as a tool such as opening canned drinks using your nails. Nail strength really depends on the individual, so if yours breaks easily, it’s best you invest in a good nail hardener such as OPI Nail Envy.
Q: How do you have a clean line of nail polish against your cuticle?
A: We use a flat brush and dip it into nail polish remover to clean the excess nail polish against our cuticles. Alternatively, you can use a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover to clean up the sides of your nails and also your cuticles.
We're just two ordinary girls who share the same passion for nail art! Xinyi started off with her amazing french tipped nails, so one day at college Jade asked, "How did you do that?" So she experimented nail art on her own after that with a bit of Xin Yi's guidance :) Not too long later our love for nail art grew even more and was brought to a whole new level because nearly every fortnight we'll have new designs to look forward to. It's funny that we squeal over nail designs! it sounds bimbotic but yeah we truly enjoy this. We're not professionals since we only do this as part of our leisure. Truthfully speaking we still have a lot more to learn. We hope that we can continue to improve further and create even prettier designs! :3 Thank you for visiting and liking our pictures. It means a lot to us :D
